50 years riding The Hilly

It was a special one for me after completing every Hilly since my first one in 1972. Kind of emotional when I passed another rider on Saturday who was riding a Schwinn Super Sport, the bike I rode on my first Hilly 100 that started at the Poplars in 1972, where my dad and I rode when I was just 14. My wife, who rode several Hilly’s with me, and helped me tow our twins in the burley in the early 90’s, sewed all my Hilly100 patches collected over the years on a warm up jacket, and my #50 from my 1974 Junior Nationals Road Race complimented my 50 Hilly 100’s. Thanks to all the volunteers over all the years!
